For when regular coffee just isn’t enough – Maple Bacon Morning gets it DONE! There’s some cultures I’m really starting to appreciate out there on the interwebs. Perhaps the most interesting is the emergence of the GTD culture. If you’re new to Getting Things Done, you really need to check out some very useful online tools. The 2 main GTD tools we use here at Appdots are Evernote and Remember the Milk.
Evernote is that crazy Elephant that won’t let you forget. There’s a web version, a phone version (iPhone/Winmo only), and a desktop application should you be that old school to install something. Needless to say this application syncs all the information you’d forget within 5 minutes otherwise. You can take voice notes, pictures, type yourself a note, or web-clip articles you plan on reading later. Great tool for keeping your mind clear of the details so that you can find the big picture.
Task management has always been an often forgotten about practice of mine. I generally get into the habit of creating a task list of things I would like to get done, and after a month or two I start to forget about it. Regardless of my own personal flaws, Remember the Milk is fantastic. We’re using RTM to keep track of any tasks we need to get done, and Evernote to keep track of information/ideas for blog posts here!
